Laser Skin Treatments
What are laser skin treatments?
If you have scarring, pigmentation, age spots, sun damage or other skin concerns, laser treatment may help improve the appearance and texture of your skin. Laser skin treatments use carefully controlled energy to target specific areas of the skin.
Depending on the treatment, laser energy can target pigmentation or vascular lesions, or stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to improve skin texture and firmness.
The most appropriate treatment depends on your skin type, the condition being treated and the results you would like to achieve.

A spectrum of skin solutions
Our Harmony XL PRO Laser
Our Harmony XL PRO laser platform allows us to use different technologies for different skin concerns.
ClearLift is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates collagen production to improve skin texture, firmness and the appearance of scars and fine lines. It is a quick treatment with little or no downtime.
Dye VL uses targeted light to treat selected vascular and pigmented lesions, including some types of pigmentation and sun damage.
Can you treat pigmentation and age spots?
Our Harmony XL PRO laser can target melanin in selected areas of pigmentation, helping to reduce the appearance of age spots, sun spots, freckles and other forms of hyperpigmentation.
Not every pigmented lesion is suitable for laser treatment, so we will assess your skin before recommending treatment.
Can you treat Scars?
Scarring is a natural part of the skin’s healing process. When the skin is damaged, the body produces fibrous tissue to repair the area. The type and appearance of the resulting scar can depend on the original injury, its depth, location and how your skin heals. Acne scars are particularly common and can remain visible long after the acne itself has disappeared.
Laser treatment works by stimulating collagen and encouraging the skin to remodel itself. Depending on the type and depth of your scars, a course of treatments may be recommended.

What happens at my first consultation?
At Clinica Sta. Cecilia, we make it simple, quick, and comfortable. Here’s what you can expect:
- Consulation: Your treatment begins with a consultation, where we examine your skin, discuss your concerns and talk about what you would like to achieve. We will assess the area to be treated and recommend the laser technology and treatment approach that is most appropriate for you.
- Assessment and Treatment: Where appropriate, we may perform a small skin test to see how your skin responds to the laser before beginning treatment. We will also explain how many treatments you may need, how far apart they should be and what you can expect during and after each session.
- Follow-Up Care: After treatment, the skin may appear temporarily red or feel sensitive, depending on the treatment and your individual skin. We will provide you with clear aftercare advice, including how to protect your skin from the sun.
- If your skin condition requires monitoring or referral to a specialist, we coordinate your next steps to ensure continuity of care. We have a great dermatologist at our Nerja clinic.
